Black obsidian is the stone of truth in crystal tradition: a dark, glossy companion for feeling more grounded, focused and clear in practical matters. It is thought to anchor erratic energies, bring balance and clear the mind of fears and distractions. Choose a bracelet to keep it close, a pendant to wear, or a loose piece for your quiet corner.
✨ Choose your black obsidian piece
-
Easy everyday wear: the chip bracelet strings irregular pieces on elastic. Prefer a smooth, even row? Choose the round bead bracelet.
-
A gift ready to wear: the point pendant comes with a waxed cord and a Rivendell gift box.
-
A stone for your space: a small loose piece can sit beside your journal or travel in a pouch. Choose the shape and size you like from the grid below.
Buying a replacement point for our Point Crystal Water Bottle? The replacement bottle point is not a pendant. The bottle is sold separately; check the linked listing for the compatible bottle.
Pick the bead size and fit
Our round bead bracelet has four choices:
-
Small: 6 mm beads; approximately 19 cm bracelet circumference.
-
Medium: 8 mm beads; approximately 20 cm bracelet circumference.
-
Large: 10 mm beads; approximately 21 cm bracelet circumference.
-
Extra Large: 12 mm beads; approximately 21 cm bracelet circumference.
These are the listed bracelet measurements, not wrist sizes. Large and Extra Large have the same listed circumference; Extra Large has bigger beads. Use our wrist measuring guide before you choose.
Origin and a little everyday care
The origin belongs to the piece, not the whole collection. Our listings name Ethiopia for the jewellery linked here and Argentina for the loose pieces. Each stone has its own shape and markings; look at the individual listing when you choose.
For the corded pendant, wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry straight away. Keep the cord out of a soak and protect the point from knocks. Still deciding between black stones? Our black crystal necklace guide compares obsidian, onyx and tourmaline.
