- Starting at the root, place each stone on its spot: tailbone, lower belly, upper stomach, chest, throat, brow, and one just above your head.
- Rest for five to ten minutes. Let the weight of each stone remind you where your attention is.
- To finish, lift the stones off from the crown downward, and sit up slowly.

Care that keeps your stones bright ☀️
Most of these stones are quartz, about 7 on the Mohs hardness scale, so they cope well with everyday handling and a quick rinse. A few need a gentler touch:
- Selenite: a soft gypsum, only 2 on the Mohs scale, that slowly dissolves in water. Never soak it; dust it or pat it with a barely damp cloth.
- Fluorite: soft at 4 and slightly soluble. Wipe it with a warm damp cloth and never submerge it.
- Lapis lazuli: 5 to 6 on the Mohs scale. Warm soapy water is fine, but skip soaking. Some lapis is dyed, so test a hidden spot first.
- Pyrite: damp air makes it rust and crumble, so keep it in a dry room.
- Amethyst: long, intense light can fade its purple, so a shady shelf suits it better than a sunny sill.
- Please never put crystals in drinking water. Some minerals hold substances you would not want to swallow. Enjoy your stones beside your glass, not in it.
